♦ Rukh Art Hub is delighted to extend invitation for the opening night of the first solo exhibition by one of the most promising emerging artists in the Ukrainian art scene, Oleksii Shcherbak @shcherbak.oleksi in NYC.
In his new series, «VICTIMS OF GRENOUILLE,» inspired by Patrick Süskind’s novel «Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,» Oleksii Shcherbak delves into the chain reaction of sensations, memories, and scents triggered by external stimuli. The artist’s reflections manifest as a complex interplay of subconscious sensations, mingled with mythical chimeras and character portraits. He documents a multifaceted, reflexive experience through enigmatic heroes, exploring their stories as a spectator, while simultaneously delving into surrealistic and existential themes inspired by the Süskind’s novel.
