Razom for Ukraine is seeking program interns to help coordinate and engage in advocacy initiatives.
U.S. work authorization is required.
The intern will work with the Razom Advocacy team on one of two subteams, Government Affairs or Public Engagement. You can find more information on the teams and detailed descriptions of responsibilities here.
Some key responsibilities include:
• Tracking legislative and government affairs updates and conducting original research on US policy and legislation on Ukraine
• Attending and tracking legislative sessions, hearings, and committee markups
• Building action alerts, calls to action, and advocacy campaigns
• Assisting in outreach to community and constituent groups
• Taking and maintaining notes and assisting in database management
• Assisting with event organization and task management
Desired qualifications:
• Relevant experience in state- or federal-level advocacy, grassroots organizing, or coalition building
• Interest in policy work to support a Ukrainian victory
• Available to work 20-40 hours per week in a hybrid work environment with in-person work at Razom’s office in Washington, D.C.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Ukrainian is considered an asset
