OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs, the Advocacy Associate is a key member of the dynamic Government Affairs team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of interest in Congress and the internal workings of the U.S. Government. Responsibilities include supporting the outreach and direct lobbying efforts of the team.
We are looking for an individual who can work autonomously and effectively on time-sensitive tasks. This person should bring creativity and a proactive attitude to problem-solving and collaborating with others. A deep passion for politics, government affairs, and Razom’s mission is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Growing and executing lobbying strategies to advance Ukrainian victory and interests of Razom
● Identify strategic moments and new champions to influence target stakeholders and amplify Razom’s strategic goals
● Assist with researching legislation and the legislative process
● Preparing the team for meetings with external partners, including on Capitol Hill and relevant agencies
● Corresponding with public officials and other external partners about legislation, Ukraine policy, and related issues
● Assisting GA team in arranging formal and informal opportunities for advocacy
● Representing Razom at events and informal advocacy opportunities
● Tracking GA team correspondence with external partners and advocacy targets
● Supporting events and event logistics
● Keeping tabs on news and political developments
● Suggesting opportunities for the GA team to drive advocacy efforts forward
● Developing tools, resources, and materials to support and promote advocacy goals and policy
● Building and maintaining relationships that advance the interests of Razom and the Advocacy team
● Performing other duties as required or assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONs & EXPERIENCE
● 0-3 years of relevant professional or academic experience
● Advanced academic or professional degree in a relevant field preferred
● Excellent critical-thinking and communication skills, both written and verbal
● Enjoys learning about foreign affairs, human rights, and U.S. policy relating to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
● Has detailed understanding of U.S. policy relating to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
● Has the self-confidence needed to work independently, manage others, and simultaneously handle numerous relationships, requests, tasks, and deadlines
● Professionalism, flexibility, punctuality, and cooperative work ethic
● Willingness to execute both research and administrative tasks diligently and enthusiastically
● Ability to interact professionally with high-level officials

SALARY RANGE
$60,000-75,000
Final salary based on experience and qualifications as well as finalized scope of work.
