About the Exhibition
Constructing Hope: Ukraine is an architecture-focused exhibition exploring how design can foster resilience, resistance, and recovery in wartime Ukraine. Featuring the work of over a dozen grassroots initiatives and creative collectives, the exhibition illustrates how architectural thinking supports both immediate needs and long-term reconstruction.
Originally debuted in New York, the exhibition now arrives in Chicago, presenting drawings, models, videos, and real-life artifacts that tell the story of community-driven rebuilding. From modular housing and refugee-built models to symbolic graphic design, this show captures how architecture can serve as both shelter and statement.
