In the April Razom IT Speaker Series event at Civic Hall, Jakob Kegel spoke about Beetroot Academy‘s recent initiative “Frontend-developer: Training Program for Internally Displaced People in Ukraine.” The program is free of charge and designed for IDPs from Crimea and eastern Ukraine. About 30% of Beetroot Academy students are women and 50% of the graduates get placed as developers full time.

Razom IT presents “Converting a Tram Depot into a Creative Quarter in Lviv: A conversation with Ilia Kenigshtein”

Our February Razom IT Speaker Series event focused on a creative new project developing in Lviv. Ilia Kenigshtein presented how he is converting an old tram depot in Lviv into a cool co-working space that concentrates on education, technology and entertainment. He’s calling it the “Creative Quarter”, a place for entrepreneurs, artists, journalists, social figures to meet and create things under one roof.

Razom IT presents “My City”: A marketplace of social projects & activists in Odessa

Artem Borodatyuk, co-founder of the platform for social good, “Moy Gorod” visited New York and shared his experience of launching an online platform in Odessa, Ukraine that gets citizens to create and implement projects to make their city more livable. He calls it a marketplace of social projects and civic activists.
